Navigating the New World of SharePoint Online, Office 365 and On-Premise

Starting with the release of SharePoint 2010 and the early versions of Office 365, Microsoft began the push of moving SharePoint into the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model and away from an on-premise deployment story. This direction was solidified in the release of SharePoint 2013, but it also added quite a bit of confusion in the marketplace with customers wondering, "Is on-premises SharePoint dead?" This is certainly not the case. In this keynote, come learn what the real story is today, what scenarios and deployments make the most sense for your organization based on real-world experience, current guidance from Microsoft, independent implementors, and how to position your organization going forward without boxing yourself in!

Andrew ConnellAndrew Connell is an independent consultant that enjoys development, writing and teaching. He is an eight-time recipient of Microsoft’s Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award (2005-2012) for Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) and Microsoft SharePoint Server. He has authored and contributed to numerous MCMS and SharePoint books over the years, including his book "Professional SharePoint 2007 Web Content Management Development." He is also the author of numerous articles on the Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) and in various print magazines.

You can learn from Andrew when he teaches hands-on courses through Critical Path Training or through one of the many on-demand classes he has published though Pluralsight. Andrew has spoken on the subject of SharePoint development and WCM at conferences and community events in the United States, Australia, England, Spain and the Netherlands. Location is Everywhere

Location is everywhere and the use of location in Enterprise systems is becoming more common every day. As Maps become more ubiquitous in our world today, we are neglecting them in our analytics. This keynote will highlight how organizations are taking a strategic approach to incorporating maps and location information with their key analytics. In doing so, they gain new insights and can achieve a comprehensive view across the entire organization. After this keynote, you will understand where to start in developing and implementing location analytics for your organization, and how you can include mapping and analytics in your SharePoint and Office solutions.
